The Role of Cookies in Programmatic

A cookie or an HTTP cookie, a.k.a 'web cookie,' or more commonly known as 'browser cookie,' is a tiny text file that a server sends to a user’s computer via the web browser. After being received and stored on the user’s computer, cookies are sent back to the server with each web request. A cookie usually contains information about the user’s activity and helps maintain session state between different browsing sessions.
